What’s a God Story?

A God Story is a true account of how you’ve seen God at work—in your life or in the life of someone else. It’s not about what you accomplished, but about what God has done: His presence, His action, and His purpose unfolding in real moments of real life.

Throughout Scripture, God’s people are invited to tell these stories:

“Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.” (Psalm 66:16)

This page exists to help you do exactly that.

A God Story is more than a belief or an opinion—it’s testimony.

It points attention to God’s faithfulness, not human effort.

God stories often include one or more of the following:

  • God’s presence
A sense of His guidance, comfort, conviction, or nearness

  • God’s action
Answered prayer, provision, healing, protection, or transformation

  • God’s purpose
How God used an event to grow faith, lead to repentance, deepen trust, or prompt obedience

Some God stories are big turning points. Others are small moments of quiet faithfulness. Both matter.

What a God Story Is Not

To help set expectations, a God story is:

  • Not self-promotion (“Look what I did”)

  • Not exaggeration or spiritual hype

  • Not required to be dramatic

Many of the most powerful God stories are simple, honest accounts of God meeting someone right where they were.

Submitting Your God Story

How This Submission Works

We don’t want to ask you to simply “tell us your story” and leave you staring at a blank page.

Instead, this guided form will walk you through your story step by step—helping you reflect, remember, and articulate what God has done. Your responses may later be shaped into a short article to encourage others.

You don’t need to be a writer.
You don’t need the “perfect” words.
You just need to be honest.
